A fire broke out in a villa in Kristinehamn late on Christmas Eve. A man and his son have now died.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire in Kristinehamn at 11:30 PM on Christmas Eve. The fire was fully developed in the two-story villa, with flames erupting from the ground floor.

A man in his 90s and his son in his 60s died as a result of the fire. Their relatives have been notified.

The police are investigating the incident as arson and have cordoned off the area.
